John Halton raised $20 million for a graduate student fellowship endowment that supports students working closely with outstanding professors like Dr. Goodenough.
John Halton's team raised $353 million between 2008 and 2014 in the $3 billion "Campaign for Texas" – this exceeded the goal set by the University. $133 million came in the last year of the campaign.
Callers from the Cockrell School's Friends of Alec annual giving program not only raised more than $1 million annually but established a close relationship with engineering alum T. W. Whaley that led him to give more than $30 million to the School through his will to establish an endowed scholarship program.
